Our Bespoke Dance Portrait Sessions are very different from traditional dance school photographs or mini sessions.
Instead of being rushed through a handful of poses, every dancer enjoys up to an hour in the studio, with time to relax, build confidence and explore a variety of styles, outfits and lighting.
Together we’ll create a collection of portraits that truly reflects their personality, passion and dedication.

We'll discuss your dancer, their favourite styles, costumes and the type of images you'd love to create. Whether you're looking for elegant ballet portraits, dramatic contemporary images, energetic jazz photography or bold commercial-style portraits, we'll plan the session together.
there is plenty of time for outfit changes, experimenting with different lighting and creating a gallery with real variety.
You'll return to the studio for a private viewing appointment where you'll enjoy your finished gallery and choose your favourite collection.
Many families also choose handcrafted albums or stunning wall art to display these special portraits at home.
With over twenty years of experience working with children and young people as both a teacher and Headteacher, I know how important it is for every dancer to feel relaxed, confident and supported.
No one is expected to perform perfectly.
Instead, every session is designed to help dancers feel comfortable enough to express themselves naturally, allowing their personality, confidence and love of dance to shine through.
Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of dancers from beginners to competition performers, creating portraits that celebrate not only their achievements but the commitment and passion behind them.
Because one day, these photographs won’t just remind you how they danced.
They’ll remind you who they were at this stage of their journey.
Throughout the year, I work with dance schools across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to offer Dance Mini Sessions.
These sessions are designed as a shorter, more affordable way for dancers to enjoy professional portraits while supporting their dance school through fundraising events.
Each dancer enjoys a 15-minute studio session with time for one outfit and a carefully guided selection of poses to create a varied gallery.
Mini Sessions are only available on selected dates and are booked through participating dance schools.
